Neolithic village
The Neolithic village
During the Neolithic period (6000-4500 BC), the fishermen's houses were rectangular. Initially consisting of a single room, they later expanded to include 2 to 3 rooms.
The floor, made of beaten earth, was plastered. As for the walls, the lower parts were built with stones and pebbles from the rivers while the upper parts were made with reeds.
During the Chalcolithic period (4500-3000 BC), the houses adopted a circular or oval shape of 5 to 6 meters in diameter.
