CISH-UNESCO Byblos - International Center for Human Sciences

In the heart of Byblos' ancient city, a unique and historic heritage house has been established. The "International Center for Human Sciences", one-of-a-kind worldwide, is housed in a property generously donated by the Ministry of Culture - Directorate General of Antiquities.

After a 27-year journey, the center has finally come to fruition. Today, nestled in the heart of historic Byblos, it overlooks an archaeological site bearing the traces of seven civilizations that have flourished over 7,000 years.

The center has reclaimed its pioneering role as a hub for scientists, researchers, and academics from various scientific and cultural fields, serving as a launchpad for an international network facilitating dialogue among research centers and universities worldwide. It promotes the exchange of expertise, publication of studies, and organization of international forums, positioning Lebanon on the global cultural map.
